Frequently asked questions.

How do I prepare for my first Session?

We want you to be as comfortable as possible during your session so please wear comfy clothing, or bring something comfortable to change into. Avoid eating a heavy meal prior to your session and do not come hungry. Treatment times vary based on conditions but typically an acupuncture session lasts anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour.

Do you reuse needles?

NO! We only use FDA approved, single use, acupuncture needles that are properly disposed of after each treatment. Our acupuncturist, Garrett Krause, spent time teaching the CNT course to Acupuncture students prior to their Graduation. CNT stands for Clean Needle Technique, a Nationally Certified course that all Acupuncturists must complete in order to obtain their License to practice.

How often do I need treatment?

Treatment protocols are individualistic. Acupuncture has a cumulative effect, provided within close enough succession, each acupuncture treatment typically builds upon the previous one. We will be able to give you a clear treatment plan after discussing your health concerns.

Do you take Insurance?

We currently do not take insurance, and for good reason. 1: Most Insurance companies do not reimburse for acupuncture. The plans that do reimburse, will not do so until a deductible is met. It has been our experience that most deductibles are so high most patients do not get to actually use these benefits and wind up paying out of pocket. 2: Insurance companies dictate patient treatment based on what they will pay for. This is neither good for the patient or practitioner, as we feel there should never be a barrier to the best treatment available for our patients.
